Herbal Wellness Consults
In addition to counseling support, I offer herbal wellness consults and herbal support add-on's (for established therapy clients) following knowledge and lineage of clinical western herbalism (and borrowing some from other ancestral traditions). Every culture has a tradition of folk healing. Some are well known and still popularly practiced today such as TCM and Ayurveda. Western herbalism although never fully eradicated, went mostly into obscurity during the advent of modern medicine. It was kept alive by midwives, grandma's, those who never lost touch with their ancestral ways, people who were systemically oppressed without equal access to modern medicine, and some passionate hippies who helped herald the herbal renaissance in the 60's including Rosemary Gladstar and Michael Moore.

What is Phytotherapy?
Literally meaning plant therapy and another word for herbalism, I see herbalism as a way to conceptualized a life connected with nature. It is not a replacement for modern medicine and I will not work with clients who are looking to replace what allopathic medicine has to offer. Rather it is a way of nourishing the body, empowering oneself, and getting in touch with the cycles of one's physiology, nature, and spirit. Someone who engages in an exploration of all of what plants have to offer may find they reclaim joy in their lives, renew wonder, and nourish a feeling of connection to something greater than themselves.
If you are interested in working with me on your wellness goals, please reach out to schedule a free 30-minute intro meeting to assess whether it would be a good fit.
Why work with an herbalist?
It can be a lot to navigate all the advice, contraindications and research available to consumers today. An herbalist works with you to narrow down information to suit your health needs making sure the way you are taking herbs, the amount you are taking, and how they interact with your body, pharmaceuticals, and your diet keep you safe, healthy, and on a path towards wellness and vibrancy.

How a consult works.
We will meet to discuss your wellness goals, go over your current health and medical history, and probably geek out on all things plants. After meeting, I will do extensive research and formulate a herbal wellness plan which will likely include a custom tea blend, custom tincture formulation and personal health suggestions related to nutrition, exercise, and mental wellness. I will provide detailed instructions on when and how to take your custom formulations. If desired at extra cost, I can package and mail to you the custom blends. Included in the consult, I also provide advice on where to buy products online or you can go to your local herbal apothecary where they can help fill your custom formulations. I am then available for questions or to answer any concerns via email in between consults.

After each wellness plan created, we will meet again in 1 month to check in on how things are going. Established clients can then schedule 30 minute check-ins or wellness plan refresh when new wellness goals come up.

Initial Consult is 75 mins.
1 month Follow-up/Check-ins are 30 mins.
Wellness Plan Refresh is 50 mins.

Herbal Add-on (for established therapy clients)
At the end of a therapy session, clients can have the opportunity to receive a custom tea blend to support their emotional and mental wellness. Often this will be a blend that is created collaboratively and intuitively based on themes alive in the therapy sessions. This can take part of the regular session time or is pro-rated as a 10 minute add-on.
